New England-based singer/songwriter Duncan Pelletier shares his new single “More Drugs” via Trailing Twelve Records.

Duncan Pelletier offers a refreshing, sarcastic take on hedonism with his new single “More Drugs”, set for digital release on July 10th via Trailing Twelve Records. The mid-tempo, feel-good track acts as a vehicle for larger existential questions, playfully personifying a destructive desire for escape.

Pelletier is a Maine-based singer/songwriter, fusing soft rock, blue-eyed soul, and traditional pop. “More Drugs'' is another example of his signature sound. Energetic electric guitar swoons over soulful keys while the mid-tempo drums drive the breezy track. Open chords and memorable hooks act as a friendly invitation to ponder eternity with Pelletier.

Underneath the uplifting melodies are lyrics that reveal the song’s deeper message. Pelletier grapples with internal conflict when he sings about pining over painful memories – “Turning over possibilities inside erroneous days / And the answer is always / More drugs / Need a little more time.”

“Getting close to solving all the complicated code inside myself / Know what I think might help / More drugs / Need a little more time / While I’m leaning on the feeling like a friend of mine.”

On “More Drugs”, Duncan Pelletier lightheartedly faces existentialism while inviting listeners to do the same. “More Drugs” will be available via Trailing Twelve Records on July 10th, 2024.
